Joey Knows Tech
For your business

The tech's handled, so you can run the place.

You didn't open a café, clinic or studio to fight with routers and printers. I'm the local, on-call fixer for east-end small businesses, quick to respond, honest about costs, and I speak human, not IT. Weighing up a quote from someone else? I also give a second opinion before you sign.

What I keep running

The unglamorous stuff that can't go down.

Reliable Wi-Fi

Coverage to the back room and patio, guest network kept separate from yours.

Point-of-sale & card readers

Tills and tap-to-pay that stay up when the queue is out the door.

Email & calendars

Professional email on your own domain, shared calendars, no lost bookings.

Printers & devices

Receipt printers, label makers and tablets that connect the first time.

Backups & security

Your files and customer records backed up, and staff who know which messages deserve a second look.

Setups & moves

New location, new hire, new gear, set up cleanly and documented.

Packages and plans

Flat prices, agreed up front. Never a surprise hourly bill.

Sized for owner-run places: cafés, clinics and studios of one to ten people. We agree the price before work starts, and it doesn't move.

Call-out help

When something breaks now.

Text me the problem. I prioritise businesses during opening hours and give you an honest ETA, not a ticket number and a shrug.

Get on the list
Website and Google presence

Get found, and look like you mean it.

A simple, fast website, your Google Business Profile set up properly, and the basics done right so customers can find you and call you. $1,500 to $3,000 flat, agreed before we start.

Email and office setup

Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, moved in cleanly.

Setup or migration for your whole team: email, calendars and files, with nothing lost on the way and everyone shown where their stuff lives. $2,500 to $7,500 flat, depending on the size of your shop. Already holding a quote from someone else? I'm happy to give a second opinion first.

Keep-it-tidy plan

Or head trouble off entirely.

A simple monthly check, backups tested, updates done, the weak spots fixed before they cost you a busy Saturday. $150 to $400 a month, depending on how much you run.

Ask about plans

Anything bigger than these, a custom app, a real software build, is work I do through my studio practice. If your problem is that size, I'll tell you straight instead of squeezing it into a package.

The deal

Four things you can hold me to.

If the first visit doesn't help, you don't pay

That's the guarantee. If I can't move your problem forward on the first visit, it costs you nothing.

Flat prices, agreed up front

Every job is priced before it starts. I never bill surprise hourly, so an invoice is never a plot twist.

Written notes, in plain English

After every job you get notes on what changed, why, and what to watch for. Yours to keep, whoever you hire next.

A real local number, answered by me

Call or text (647) 765-5215 and you get Joey, not a queue or a call centre.

Good to know

Questions owners usually ask.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

You'll always know the cost before I start, a clear visit rate or a fixed quote for the job. No surprise line-items, ever.

Can you work around our opening hours?

Yes. Bigger changes I'll do before you open or after you close, so nothing disrupts service or customers.

Can you give a second opinion on a quote we've received?

Yes. Independent second opinions and vendor selection are a big part of what I do: what's essential, what's optional, and what can wait, in plain language. I don't sell hardware or contracts, so the advice is only ever about what's right for you.

We're tiny, are we too small for you?

Not at all. One-person studios to ten-person shops are exactly my thing. Big enough IT firms won't return your call; I will.

Let's keep your doors open.

Tell me about your setup and what's giving you grief. I'll come by, take a look, and give you a straight answer.
